How does it work?
Use of 9 gallon casks for a ‘fee per fill’. A fleet of beer casks is made available for all sizes of brewer to send beer into the wholesale market on a ‘fill and forget’ basis. For this the brewer pays a fee per cask filled and the ECasks take responsibility for collection of the empty cask.

Basic Concepts

Only for use in the wholesale trade. See the 'fair use' agreement for list of permitted networks / wholesalers
All the casks to be collected back from wholesalers by ‘ECasks’ (wholesalers will deliver to pubs, and pickup from pubs, as normal).
Brewers must sign up to a ‘fair use’ policy before becoming customers.
Casks will be heavily branded, to allow easier recovery by ECasks.

Known cost per fill, which can be treated as a ‘revenue’ expense in the accounts, and so be offset against taxable profits.
More scope to take additional wholesale orders.
